Formerly a small hotel, run down and with an unattractive circa 1970’s extension on its rear, this property was acquired for The Lucky Onion Group by Dunkerton Properties LLP who required a top-class renovation of this listed building together with a new contemporary rear conservatory extension to provide additional kitchen/restaurant facilities.
The extensive restoration included both internal and external works including –
restored lathe and lime plastered ceilings, covings and ceiling roses,
restoration of existing fireplaces,
treatment of dry rot,
restoration of original joinery and matched new joinery where needed,
restored front entrance porch,
new roof restored chimney stacks and pots,
restored side entrance and railings.
