12 Flats Conservation Area (Cheltenham)

Bishops Cleeve Flats 1

Bishops Cleeve Flats 2  Bishops Cleeve Flats 3

Formerly a 1970’s building incorporating a pizzeria with offices above and located on a prominent site in the centre of the conservation area of Bishops Cleeve, this site was acquired by retained clients and a contemporary redevelopment proposal was negotiated with the local planning and conservation departments by Ralph Guilor Architects – for the erection of 12 flats.

The site is located in prominent position on one of the main road junctions of the High Street and the flats were designed to create a focal point within the street scene which could be seen from several different vantage points.

The design respects the scale and materials of the more traditional buildings surrounding it, with parking provisions located at the rear of the site and concealed from public view. The 12 flats are one and two bedroomed offering modern internal open plan livings areas.
